Travel tweets

There are some really cool things going on in the travel industry using social media at the moment. The latest brand to get involved is Vodafone, it has joined forces with Twitter to track where British ‘tweeters’ are going on their holidays.

The two have launched holiday maps, giving an up to date view of Brits’ summer travelling plans. New York, Vancouver and Paris have emerged as the favourite holiday destinations, while it revealed 16% of Brits are ‘staycationing’ this year.

Our travel clients at Headstream are getting fully involved in social media, and as the above demonstrates it can be used to not only engage with your customers but to also collate some really interesting information on consumer behaviour.
